Can't wait to spend 10 days on a yacht sailing the greek islands... tomorrow I'm off to Athens, then Mykonos and so on. Much better to be on a boat trip than on a road trip ;-)

I must admit, I'm addicted to Gossip Girl. Especially the stylist of Blair Waldorf seems to have a taste similar to mine. Why else would that adorable dress be hanging in my closet? I got it...wait...in 2007...long before Gossip Girl was broadcasted in Germany. It's truely a shame that we Germans have to wait so long... Anyway, I love that dress and I really have no idea why I only wore it once. Wondering which other items from my closet will turn up on Gossip Girl :-D

It's not a secret that I'm a huge fan of Balenciaga bags. Owning two of them (both black), I'm actually thinking about getting a third one... not right now, but someday. I'm currently having an evening bag problem since I got carried away with buying all those big bags which look great - but are certainly not designed for a night out. That is why I crave for a classic clutch bag which I could pair with almost everything. So the Balenciaga giant envelope would be perfect!

I always buy black accessoires, so maybe...

...I should switch to brown...

...but then, this truly is my favourite colour!

Fashion wise, there's absolutely nothing happening right now. I've been blogging about overknee boots and big 80s shoulders and so far I haven't spotted any other new trend yet. I mean, boyfriend and shredded jeans, for example, have already been highly celebrated last season. The long-blouse/-shirt-leggins combination is already far too highstreet to be concerned a "new" trend (anyway, I'm still fond of this look) and todays trip to Zara confirmed my worst concern: Nothing new at the moment!

But then, I remembered my last visit at American Apparel... I was desperately looking for something special, something new, something no one else had...when my friend pointed at the box of scrunchies and said: "What about that?" First, I was shocked. I thought that only the best parts of the 80s would have a comeback and not the worst! But then, why not? Two years ago, no one would have ever thought about digging out those shoulder pads from the depths of one's closet. So why's wearing a scrunchie a no-go? Maybe it's because Sex and the City character Carrie Bradshaw once stated that New Yorker women would only ever wear a scrunchie when washing their faces in the morning. But maybe that rule is over just like the SATC series are. Maybe we'll spot Blair Waldorf wearing scrunchies instead of headbands in the next season of Gossip Girl. Who knows?! All I know is that when it comes to fashion, never say never!

Don't you ever dare to think that I'm just into high-price fashion. In fact, I adore nothing more than the right combination of items from highstreet shops and designer wear. This is why this post goes out to my (and every girl's) favourite highstreet brand H&M.

I must say, I always adore their campaigns and now the items from the fall campaign have finally arrived online and in stores. I will be looking for these two outfits:

Best combination ever: cupcakes & labels. Simply mouth-watering...

Last winter, Louis Vuitton was serving Champagne and gingerbread with LV-frosting during Christmas time. That made shopping at LV even more delightful. So I'm kindly asking all the other brands for imitation - inspired by those lovely cupcakes! To LV: gingerbread is fine, but I would prefer cupcakes next time ;-)

Winter thoughts

Tweet I'm just sitting on the balcony and a light breeze is making me feel a bit chilly. Best circumstances to browse winter collections on the web...

When I came across the Moncler vests on mytheresa.com, I got to thinking about my winter looks. Over the years, I've never got tired of wearing my blue Moncler vest and my black Moncler jacket. And now, I'm actually thinking about how great it would be to have that vest in another, more vibrant colour like pink!?

It's a classic piece of fashion, which will always warm you and be your reliable companion for all the winters to come. The bubbly Moncler vests and jackets are NEVER really out of style, plus, they're a fashion piece highly appreciated by parents and they're worth every penny!

They're comfortable, practical, they can be paired with almost everything, you can even wear them for skiing...ok, enough. Well, to make it short: in terms of the economical crisis a Moncler vest/jacket is a sound investement!!!

Balmain Shoulders to hit the streets...

Tweet ...I was wondering how long it would take Zara to copy the famous Balmain shoulders. Now they've finally done it and I cannot wait to try on their interpretation of the famous Balmain blazer. That's the good news. Bad news is that now everyone can afford this incredible look... Hit the runway this season, hit the crowd the next season. That's how fashion goes! I mean, what would we wear, if there were no such shops like Zara, H&M and Mango?!? And in the end it always comes down on HOW you wear it, right!?!

Summer holiday

It's summer time and although the fashion world gets crazy about the new fall/winter collections, I don't feel like shopping for fall at the moment. Might be due to the fact that after spending a week at Algarve's finest beaches, I've just arrived in sunny Barcelona. It's hard not to splurge on summer sale items which could be worn straight away..."The season is over" I keep saying to myself. Maybe I should "force" myself to splurge on some fall accessoires to get into the right mood... But first some holiday pictures to make you jealous ;-)
