A&F Sale in Switzerland?!?

An Abercrombie Sale in Zermatt?? When I first heard about it, I couldn't believe it. It's a new concept by casual couture: They import the clothes directly from the US and sell them at special sales at different places in Switzerland.

I went to the sale in Zermatt today (it's on till tomorrow), but all I got was a classic grey V-neck-shirt (for about 50 €). I'm still hesitating about the lumberjack shirt (see picture), but it's still at 100 €, so I don't know if that's a bargain or not?!?

Sorry for the blurred pictures, but I just had to show you my christmas outfit. Everybody was wearing an LBD, but not me, of course (actually, I think I don't even own one ;-). This year I went for gold. I must admit, that it's not a new dress (see my post from August 24th), but an "I-will-always-love-it"-piece!

Waaaah, I just realized that my most adored Marc Jacobs Hippie dress is on sale (at Breuninger). I posted it a while ago ("Dress up!") knowing that the price tag is far away from my budget. Now it's 50 % off. Not a bargain, I know, but what would you do? Wait (and hope) for another reduction? Or should I simply invest my student fee (which is due in January)?

PS: I hate the belt, that comes with the dress. It looks so cheap....If I ever get that dress, I will use one of my own belts or wear it without one to get the real hippie look ;-)

Ring-a-ding ding

Oooh, I simply fell in love with this ring. But when I was just about to choose the colour, I realized that my size was already sold out (grr). It's only costume jewellery, but the design is so pretty and pairing this ring with some others would be so Mary-Kate-ish. And it would make a perfect christmas gift. Argh! I'm still recovering, but as soon as I feel better, I will have a chat with my YSL dealer ;-).

Online-Shopping is sick

No, actually it's me who's sick :-(. I've got a really really bad cold (and, thank God, not the swine flue). So I wasn't able to go shopping today. The only thing left to do is online-shopping :-)

And lucky me discovered two new online-shops:

1. veryeickhoff.com

Everybody who reads InStyle knows the Eickhoff family and their store in Düsseldorf. So after the huge success of mytheresa (the online-store of the fashion boutique Theresa in Munich) it was only a question of time until Eickhoff also opened an online-store.

2. apropos-store.com

The new online store of the concept store APROPOS in Cologne. I read about it on taschenqueen.

Louis Vuitton finally decided to oust Madonna and return to the good old models. Lara Stone is the brand's new face and I must say, I absolutely adore the pictures for the Spring/Summer 2010 ad campaign, which were taken by Steven Meisel.

PS: Seems that the 80s are over and the 70s are back! Love it!

Gossip Girl proudly presents...

I don't want to brag about my fashion instinct, but I just happen to have a nose for new trends....and so it happens that my prediction (see my blog post from 15th of September) for the YSL Roady bag comes true: It's the new it-bag!

I was just watching the new episode of Gossip Girl (season 3, episode 12) and the YSL Roady bag with the chain braiding details (which I got months ago) is featured as the new it-bag!

When I wrote the post about this bag back in September, I especially fell in love with the version that Mary-Kate was toting around. I was lucky to get the exact same version at Breuninger in Stuttgart - it wasn't even on display yet and they were about to return it to Paris since the supply was short. So I kind of had the right feeling at the right time ;-)

...splurge money (at least when I happen to have some) on luxury goods! I can't help it, but I like to buy quality and I simply adore the branding (from packaging till customer service).

So I treated myself to a little LV agenda ;-) (it was on my wish list anyway).

Now I can start organizing 2010 in style!!!
