I'm not a big fan of new year's eve. Nothing really changes after the awkward countdown ..10,9,8...3,2,1 - Happy new year! That's it. Sipping Champagne and watching the fireworks you freeze your buns off. Never liked it!
But (and there's always a but) I like to dress up - at least once a year ;-). I must say, I love glamorous evening gowns, but I hate fancy hair-dos. Just like Carine Roitfeld of French Vogue - loose hair plus elegant evening gown - that's the look I like. So I didn't have to worry too much about my hair...
Fortunately, I happened to own a very lovely Strenesse evening gown, which I bought for my graduation party in 2006. So I could also tick that off my list.
The accessoires were easy, too: clutch bag (I got it in a souvenir shop in Greece) plus necklace from my mum and my trinity ring - et voilà!
Unfortunately I'm still waiting for the official pictures taken by the photographer (will post them asap)...and for 2010 I desperately need a new SLR camera. I would appreciate any comments or ideas.... I'm considering the Nikon D-90 (bit expensive though) and one of the Canon Eos models right now.
