Pointed shoes ?!?

Watching the Prada fall 2010 show yesterday, I just couldn't believe what I saw: Pointed pumps are back! Argh, I thought that we've said goodbye to these forever... or maybe it was just me, who spent most of her late teenager days in those killer shoes ;-)
Christopher Bailey even chose to send pointed overknee boots down the runway at Burberry Prorsum's fall 2010 show in London.
And honestly, the pointed overknee boots don't look that bad at all... so maybe I will rethink my attitude towards pointed shoes...

Fashionable teddy bears

I always liked Steiff as a brand since they make the most beautiful soft toys. They're just so cute and they evoke many childhood memories....
20 British artists have now designed special Steiff teddy bears in order to raise money for the charity campaign "Living Paintings" - and I adore all of them, but my favourite is the bear from Stelly Mc Cartney with the oversized satin blazer an the sequined dress ;-) The teddy bears will be auctioned off on the 25th of February at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.

"Aperlaï"-a name to remember...

Flicking through the pages of the new Vogue (Germany, March issue 2010) I was completely smitten with the shoes from Aperlaï Paris. So far, I hadn't heard of this brand launched by Alessandra Lanvin, Srdjan Prodanovic and Burak Uyan, who has worked for Giambattista Valli & Givenchy before.
Not only do the high-heels look glamourous, they're also designed to be comfortable to walk in. My first thought was: I desperately need a pair!
Here are some pictures from the Aperlaï launch in Paris during Fashion Week SS 2010

Finally: "Grazia" hits the German market

Living in London, I used to buy the British Grazia once in a while, so when I heard about a new German version of the magazine on modepilot, I went straight to Douglas and grabbed a copy of the first issue (for free!). Since I was already smitten with the first edition, I got the second one, which was released today (for 1€).
Flicking through the pages, I must say, I really love the German version of the magazine. Very fresh, young and a good mix of fashion, accessoires, celebrities and "real-life-stories". Will definitely get the third issue...

This is who I am...

I got tagged by Conny - so now I have to tell you who I am by naming my favourite things...

Favourite band/artist: Mgmt, the Killers, Kings of Leon, Coldplay, the Beatles, James Morrison, Crystal Castles

Favourite moment ever: want to keep secret ;-)

So now it's my turn to ask the question: "Who are you, Franzi, Jasmin, Jana?"

Let it rain...

Sturdy shoes meet fancy high heels: the "Hunter by Jimmy Choo"-collection is about to hit the German market - finally. The crocodile rain boots will soon be available on mytheresa.com. I've been looking for them since I first heard of the cooperation of the two brands in August 2009. I especially love the crocodile texture - and I always wanted to look smart stepping in a puddle ;-P (normally I look more soaked than elegant on rainy days ;-).
Rachel Bilson and Hilary Duff have already been spotted wearing the Jimmy Choo for Hunter rain boots last year (Celebrities first!).
Anyway, I think those rain boots will be perfect for the festival season - so I might get a pair (still waiting for the infos about the price tag - if anyone heard of something, please let me know)...

"Yes", YSL is getting on my nerves...

...'cause they come up with a new "must-have-bag" each season. The Muse, the Muse Two, the Downtown, the Roady (this is when I got into the game ;-)... and now the "Yes". And who could say no to this practical yet uber stylish tote bag?!? So it's definitely a YES from me, but a NO from my bank account. What do you say?

PS: I just ordered my new camera - will post new outfit pics asap!

New scents - finally!

I must say, I got a little bit tired of both of the chloé scents - yeah, the one with the little ribbon bow - the one everybody is wearing right now. :-(
As you know me by now, you will guess that this is exactly the time when I start looking for something new. So looking for a new scent I got close to buying that hideous designed-like-a-flower bottle "Lola" by Marc Jacobs. Don't get me wrong here, I really like the scent, but that bottle is huge and it doesn't really fit in my tiny washbag.
I almost gave up looking... and then, out of nowhere, I stumbled across the new fragrance collection by Chloé (it just hit the market!) - and I fell in love (unfortunately with two of them: "Neroli" and "Lavande"). They're definitely worth a splurge and I think I deserve a little extra-pampering after my exam today ;-)
