Lipstick Jungle

Tweet When it comes to make-up, I like it simple and natural. In the morning, I usually use some concealer, a little bit of powder and sometimes rouge. I curl my lashes, put on some transparent lip product and I'm good to go. For special occasions, I do smokey eyes, but I rarely use lipsticks. I don't know why, because I love the feminine and grown-up feeling you have when you put on some lipstick :D

So far, I've only used the ones from Chanel, but I've heard that MAC offers some awesome colors. Of course, the color has to be great, but it also has to have a good quality. So what lipsticks are you using? Do you have a particular color or brand that you recommend?

It's a lipstick jungle out there and I am usually overwhelmed by the range of products. So I am looking forward to hear your thoughts and recommendations :)

My all-time favorite summer dress!

It's not exactly appropriate to show you my all-time favorite summer dress on such a rainy day, but maybe it will be a lucky charm and bring back the summer ;)

My favorite summer dress comes from a small shop called Apple Tree on London's Portobello Road, which I highly recommend because they've got the cutest vintage-inspired dresses. I bought this dress years ago and whenever I find a piece I really love, I stick to it and keep wearing it over and over again. Of course, I am always up for new trends and one-season-only pieces, but there are some treasures that I will keep in my closet forever. Most of them do have a special story. So what's the story of this dress? Well, it wasn't exactly love at first sight, the store was crowded and I just quickly tried it on and bought it thinking that I would somehow find a way to make it work. It was a typical impulse buy and for me, those usually end up on ebay or in the back of my closet. Little did I know that it would become my all-time favorite summer dress :D

Surprise: My latest love!

Tweet I'd never thought I'd say this, but I am madly in love with a pair of hi-top sneakers :D

The last time I was crazy about sneakers was at the age of thirteen. I remember that I desperately wanted a pair of Adidas Superstars, which I actually never got. And now, more than ten years later, these Isabel Marant sneakers have caught my eye. Here's why: First, they look more fashionable than sporty. Second, they have a built-in wedge heel, so they will make your legs look longer. Third, they are actually quite comfy. And fourth, I desperately need a pair of comfy sneakers, I really do :D So what do you think? Do you love them,too?

Gone with the wind

Tweet Since the summer has moved on, my newfound love for maxi skirts has turned into quite an obsession :D

It's just too cold for little dresses and shorts and I'm definitely not up for tights in July. No way! So I stick to this season's master plan and keep wearing pleated maxi skirts. I hope you like my new one :)

I was wearing it on Saturday for a shopping trip with my friends. We had such a great girls weekend with a very long brunch on Sunday. But the weekend is always far too short... I can't wait to have all my friends back here for my birthday in August. And I do hope that the summer will come back! Fingers crossed :)

I care for flares!

Tweet My closet is full of surprises! Sometimes I dig up pieces I totally forgot about, like these JBrand flares. I rarely wear flares, but when I am wearing them I always get the 70s vibe and feel like one of Charlie's Angels :D

Speaking of a famous girl trio, two of my best friends spontaneously visited me this weekend and we had such a great time catching up with each other, eating frozen yoghurt, doing some shopping at COS, having a barbecue and lots of fun, of course ;) But time flies and now, it's already Monday morning. So have a great week everyone :)

Obsessed with rings!

Here are some funny photos of me with my two favorite rings at the moment. I got the Hermès ring in Berlin during Fashion Week and the Trinity ring was a present from my dad :D

Right now, I am crazy about rings and bracelets. Before that, I was all about necklaces and I also remember that after I had my ears pierced I kept buying tons of earrings. So fortunately, it was one obsession at a time :D

This is by far the coolest and sexiest maxi skirt that I own ;)

I found it at Weekday in Berlin when I was actually looking for a plain long black skirt. Well, it's long and black but definitely not plain :D But hey, I like surprises and I was definitely surprised when trying it on. Additionally, it was a great bargain and now, I am sooo in love with this skirt!

As you might have already noticed, I am a big fan of the effortless French chic à la Isabel Marant. So when my new Dicker boots arrived on Friday, I instantly raided my closet for some items to create the typical effortless French look and came across this old summer dress from Mango, which I got seasons ago. I think it does the job quite well, no?! :D

Tweet With the Berlin Fashion Week behind me, I am now concentrating on building my wardrobe for fall/winter and enjoying the summer with my friends :D

Tonight, I am going for drinks with one of my closest friends, on Saturday I have a barbecue and on Sunday I will finally go and see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! I am already excited about the movie, especially because I have read all the Harry Potter books, most of them twice, and this last movie really marks the end of an era. Are you going to see the movie as well or have you already seen it?

Tweet Today, I want to share my last pictures from Berlin Fashion Week with you, guys. For the last show on Saturday evening, I decided to wear comfortable flats because I just couldn't walk in high-heels any longer ;)

So right before the A.F. Vandevorst Closing Show, I ran into Jasmin from "Tea & Twigs" and Camilla from "Allet ohne Schminke". And what do fashion bloggers do when they meet? They start taking photos of each other, talk about clothes, accessories and camera lenses :D At least that was exactly what we did!
