Cheers to the weekend!

Tweet Long time no post, I know, but I had so many other things on my mind. Sorry for that. But my absence also indicates that there are many new inspirations coming this way...

I was actually planning to attend Paris Fashion Week this year, but it was too last minute to get time off from work and organize the trip. Maybe next time. But in two weeks, I'll be jetting of to New York and I am already looking forward to this trip :)

For now, let's enjoy the late summer weekend, which I will be spending at Lake Constance! Already looking forward to it...

I'm in love with my new Isabel Marant hi-top sneakers, they are so comfy and I think they add a pretty cool twist to any look!

New in: Les Jeans de Chanel

Tweet Just got back from Düsseldorf. VOGUE Fashion's Night Out was just crazy - the city was crowded with fashionistas, most of them dressed up to the limit and ready to sip champagne all night long ;) Since I had to work, I didn't have so much free time, but I had promised a friend to make a quick stop at Chanel to get the limited "Les Jeans the Chanel" nail polish set. When I first walked past the Chanel boutique, dozens of people were already queuing to get their hands on the limited edition nail polish trio. Argh! So I checked back later and fortunately it only took me ten minutes or so to get inside the store. Phew! But when I told the sales lady that I wanted to have two sets, one for a friend and one for myself, she looked at me like I was completely mad and told me that she is only allowed to sell one set per person. Whaaat?!? But luckily, a guy queuing with his girlfriend offered me to get his set :)

So I got what I wanted and quickly rushed back. My conclusion: FNO is the craziest shopping event of the year!

This afternoon, I'll be leaving for Düsseldorf to cover VOGUE Fashion's Night Out for one of our clients. Also, I hope to find the time to do some serious shopping and maybe get my hands on the "Les Jeans de Chanel" nail polishes ;) Has anyone tried them yet?

Current favorites mixed with vintage pieces

Tweet I am completely in love with my Isabel Marant Dicker Boots. The heel's got the perfect height and they are so comfy. One of my favorite vintage pieces is my vintage LV Noe bag, because it is pretty roomy and perfect for work. I really don't like LV bags when they look brand new, I prefer them with a little wear and tear ;)

And I recently rediscovered my beloved old Closed scarf. In late summer, I like to use my scarfes and shawles as a a jacket substitute. It just gives me the feeling that summer will last forever :D

Improvising!

I wasn't prepared for the cold and rainy weather yesterday and I am happy that I grabbed my leather jacket on my way out. In my car, I was lucky to find a jersey cardigan, so I had another layer. Sometimes, it's all about improvising :D

PS: This skirt is only pretending to be a black maxi skirt ;)

Paradise!

Tweet Sometimes, paradise can be so close to home. From where I live, it is only a one-and-a-half-hour car ride away :D

Lake Constance is perfect for a mini weekend trip and to me, it also feels a little bit like home because I was in boarding school there for four years. Believe me, it was just amazing to live so close to the lake and I always like going back to all my favorite spots and places.

So before spending the afternoon at the lake, we took a stroll in the beautiful gardens of the Mainau Island :)

Bye Bye Summer!

One last summer afternoon spent at Lake Constance. At least it felt like the last perfect summer afternoon. And even though I was still feeling a little weak and tired, I had a lovely time :) I am wearing my all-time favorite Missoni bikini and I just love its colors. This summer, I didn't have the time to get a perfect deep summer tan, but I keep telling myself that heavy sunbathing is unhealthy anyway :-P

September issues

Tweet A little "hallo" from the bedside! I'm sick and besides sleeping all day and drinking tons of tea the only thing I can manage is browsing the September issues for fall/winter inspirations. Now, I am really in the mood for chunky knit sweaters and evenings by the fire place ;)
